Knight’s Parade ran another good race to finish 2nd in the 2 mile 4 1/2 furlong handicap hurdle at Huntingdon on Bank Holiday Monday, 29 May. Although sent off last in the betting at 8 to 1, KP travelled and jumped really well throughout the race and stayed on nicely to be beaten by less than 2 lengths. Graham Carson, riding his third placed result on KP in as many runs, rode him well and the combination are clearly well suited. The Racing Post described Graham as being a “useful 10 pound claimer” which is high, but well-deserved praise from them! KP seems to relish the better ground and ran more consistently than a week earlier and enjoyed the experience. He has come out of the race well and we shall look for another similar race for him shortly.
